It was after the last meeting of the last day of last year's Bologna Book Fair that we first met Polina, though she had already been on our radar for some time. She was as bright and animated as her illustrations and we knew then and there that we wanted to work with her. Soon after, she sent us the above illustration which says as much about us as it does about Polina's delightful and unique way of seeing the world and putting it on paper. To do so, she mainly uses markers, her favorite medium through which she enjoys breaking the rules. Her art speaks the language of childhood, with its sense of candour, play, and humor, as illustrated in her answers to our mini-Proust questionnaire below. We hope you enjoy it!
