Flavia Ruotolo
Flavia Ruotolo is an author, illustrator, graphic designer, and founder of the indie design label, Le Macchinine, which produces objects, t-shirts and toys for children. Her two picture books, ZOO (MeMo, 2011) and Du Matin au Soir (hélium éditions, 2015), were selected for the exhibition Giro giro tondo – Design for Children in 2018, at the Triennale Design Museum of Milan. Her high concept books—with their graphic flair and bold colors—appeal to children and adults alike. Flavia lives with her son and partner in a top-floor apartment in Genoa. Together they observe the sky and the winds waiting for the right moment to escape to the sea.
