Il favoloso viaggio delle piante
by Stefano Mancuso
illustrated by Philip Giordano
Plants move! They do! We don't realize it. They may not move during their lifetime, but they can travel to faraway lands from generation to generation. They are free spirits. If you lock them up, they will escape and go where the wind takes them. They will arrive on arid islands and convince animals to carry their seeds around the world. Some have traveled through time, surviving the atomic bomb or for millennia underground. Seeds can do amazing things: travel by train, sail the seas, stick to animals, survive explosions, and be eaten by mastodons. Are you ready for an adventure? Climb aboard!
