L’Opera Liquida (Playing Pool)
by Renato Moriconi
Music, maestro!
A peculiar fellow wearing a tuxedo with tails stands by an empty pool as if it were an orchestra pit. When he lifts his baton, a cloud appears above the pool. When he gestures with his other hand, it begins to rain. When he extends his arms vigorously above his head, it creates a tidal wave. Unlike an ordinary conductor, ours summons things to happen scene after extraordinary scene in a crescendo leading up to the gran finale where the story can start anew.
Buster Keaton meets Bugs Bunny in this delightful wordless book that plays upon the evocative nature and power of the imagination.
